Assistant Director of Nursing

The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide professional and managerial support and leadership within the nursing home.
* Serve as a positive and visible role model, promoting high standards of care.
* Offer effective clinical and professional leadership aligned with the organisation's values.
* Provide line management and support the development of clinical nursing and care teams.
* Contribute to the delivery of exceptional care through resident and staff engagement, clinical supervision, and accountability.
* Develop innovative approaches to guide and mentor nursing teams, fostering leadership skills and supporting succession planning.
* Deputise for the Director of Nursing as needed.
* Assist in identifying service needs and developing plans in collaboration with the Director of Nursing and management.
* Ensure the efficient and appropriate use of resources.
* Undertake other duties as required.

Requirements:
* Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
* Demonstrable nursing management experience within an elder care setting.
* A post-registration management qualification in health or a related field is advantageous.
* Comprehensive understanding of relevant regulatory standards and governance within a nursing home environment.
* Proven management experience with a strong track record.
* Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* Ability to foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
* Sound decision-making abilities and a results-oriented approach.
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the organisation.
* A qualification or experience in Gerontology and/or Dementia is desirable.
