You'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and component replacements, all while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.This is a hands-on role where your mechanical expertise will directly impact productivity and safety across the site.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair static plant machinery to manufacturer and company standardsConduct inspections, greasing, cleaning, and complete daily condition reportsDiagnose and resolve faults on mechanical systems including bearings, gearboxes, crushers, and conveyorsReplace worn components using correct lifting and torqueing proceduresSupport preventive maintenance tasks during night shiftsMonitor equipment using thermal, vibration, and visual checksEnsure compliance with site safety protocols (confined space, hot work, working at height)Communicate clearly with shift teams and maintain accurate handover logsWhat You'll BringProven experience in mechanical fitting, ideally in quarrying, mining, or heavy industrySkilled in using hydraulic tools, torque wrenches, and alignment equipmentConfident working independently and safely with minimal supervisionKnowledge of health & safety and quarry regulationsAbility to carry out welding and burning tasksStrong timekeeping and attention to detailWhy Join Us?At Heidelberg Materials, we don't just offer jobs we build careers.
