Company Description
Friends of the Elderly is an Irish volunteer-based charity established in 1980 to combat loneliness and provide companionship to older individuals living alone. Through social engagement programs such as home visitation, friendly call services, social clubs, and day trips, the organization works to build meaningful connections and support older adults in maintaining their independence. With a small staff and over 300 dedicated volunteers, Friends of the Elderly positively impacts the lives of more than 600 older adults annually. The charity relies entirely on donations from individuals, volunteers, and corporate support, with no governmental funding. It is committed to fostering a sense of community and cherishing the lives of its members.
