We are currently recruiting a Director of Nursing for a well-established nursing home in Co.
Waterford.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nursing leader to take on a key role in delivering high-quality, resident-centred care within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight of clinical operations, ensuring the highest standards of care and full compliance with HIQA regulations.
Lead, manage, and develop the nursing and care team, including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management.
Ensure the delivery of person-centred care, promoting residents' dignity, independence, and overall wellbeing.
Oversee clinical governance, including risk management, infection prevention and control, and medication management systems.
Liaise with residents, families, multidisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless and effective care delivery.
Monitor staffing levels, resources, audits, and inspections, driving continuous quality improvement and regulatory compliance.
Requirements Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration.
Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a senior nursing management role in a nursing home setting.
Strong knowledge of HIQA standards, Irish healthcare regulations, and clinical governance.
Proven experience in staff management, leadership, and team development.
Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
Experience in audit management, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives.
Ability to manage budgets, staffing levels, and resources effectively.
