The successful candidate will be based in Naas General Hospital**Please note we do not accept CV's for this post - applications are only accepted**Informal EnquiriesRory DignamOperations ManagerNaas General Hospital HR Point of ContactRachel SmithHR Recruitment OfficerHSE Dublin and MidlandsEmail: Tel: Purpose of the PostThe post holder will provide the professional and clinical leadership, management and support to facilitate the SLT team to provide a quality SLT service to meet the needs of the local population.The post holder will develop SLT services in line with priorities identified in the HSE service plan and the operational plan in conjunction with other disciplines and services to deliver a coordinated approach to service user care.50% of this post is to provide a clinical serviceEligibility CriteriaCandidates must have at the latest date of application:Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc(i) Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as a Speech & Language Therapist by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.AND(ii) Have 5 years full time (or an aggregate of 5 years full time) post qualification clinical experience.AND(jii) Candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability, management, leadership and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.AND(iv) Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Speech & Language Therapist Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.Annual registration(i) On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Speech & Language Therapists Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.AND(ii) Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).HealthCandidates for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.CharacterCandidates for and any person holding the office must be of good character.**Please note only completed application forms are accepted for this role**
