Réalta Technologies is seeking a skilled PI Engineer to join our team to support our client in the Pharmaceutical industry.
The successful candidate will support the design, configuration, and maintenance of the AVEVA PI System, ensuring robust data collection, contextualisation, and integration across process control systems, historians, and enterprise applications.
You will play a key role in supporting digital transformation, data integrity, and analytics initiatives, enabling greater visibility and performance across the manufacturing network.
Job ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, and maintain AVEVA PI System components, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF), and PI Vision.Manage data interfaces between PI and automation systems (DCS, SCADA, PLCs, BMS, and OEM equipment).Ensure high data availability, reliability, and integrity across all PI infrastructure.Develop and deploy PI AF templates, event frames, and analytics for manufacturing operations and process optimization.Configure and manage PI Vision dashboards and reports for operations, quality, and engineering users.Support integration between PI and other systems (MES, ERP, LIMS, historian layers, and cloud platforms).Troubleshoot data connectivity, performance issues, and user access problems.Collaborate with Automation, IT, and Process Engineering teams to align data models with business needs.Support system validation, change control, and GMP-compliant documentation as per GxP requirements.Participate in site and global digitalization projects (e.g., data lake integration, predictive analytics, and advanced visualization).
Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.5+ years of experience in a PI System or similar industrial data historian environment.Proven experience in configuring and maintaining AVEVA PI Data Archive, PI AF, and PI Vision.Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (OPC, Modbus, MQTT, etc.).Experience in pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated industries preferred.Working knowledge of GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, and data integrity principles.
Knowledge of MES (e.g., Werum PAS-X) or SCADA/DCS systems (e.g., DeltaV, Siemens, Rockwell).
Understanding of cybersecurity and network architecture in industrial environments an advantage.
AVEVA or OSIsoft certification (PI System Infrastructure, PI Vision, or PI AF) desirable.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
