Ballyfin Demesne proudly holds 3 Michelin Keys for our fabulous property located at the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountains in Co. Laois. We are also the proud recipient of a Michelin star for our fine dining restaurant headed by our talented chef, Richard Picard Edwards.
Our Guest Experience is of the utmost importance at Ballyfin, and as such, exceptional Customer Service is a must.
We are looking for a hardworking individual with previous experience working in a Michelin-star restaurant. The successful candidate will have a passion for food and beverage, exceptional customer service, and teamwork. This is a full-time, permanent position, 5 days over 7, Monday to Sunday.
We are seeking full-time individuals to join our dinner team at Ballyfin. The position involves working approximately from 3.00pm until closing, 5 days a week.
What we are looking for:
As a Food and Beverage Assistant, you should be passionate about providing excellent service to our guests and have a genuine interest in customer service, food, and drinks. We will provide excellent training to help you gain confidence in your role and effectively communicate with guests.
We value the right attitude and commitment. A comprehensive induction and ongoing training will be provided. Prior experience in a luxury establishment is advantageous but not essential.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Maintaining, storing, and upkeeping of tableware and glassware
* Setting up tables for various service periods
* Welcoming guests appropriately
* Serving food and beverages, making recommendations when needed
* Sharing menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requests
* Cleaning tables, completing closing duties, and restocking supplies
The ideal candidates must have:
* Excellent conversational skills and a team-oriented attitude
* A positive outlook and outgoing personality
* Excellent interpersonal skills and fluent English
* Immaculate grooming
* At least 2 years of previous serving experience (advantageous)
* Own transport (advantageous), flexible working hours
