Team Horizon is seeking a Construction Project Manager based in Galway for the management and planning of capital projects nationwide.

What you will be doing:
1. Assist with the compilation, development, and drafting of a national Capital Investment Programme.
2. Assist with the development and drafting of reports on the implementation and progress of the Capital Investment Programme for various departments and agencies.
3. Assist with the review, revision, and implementation of the Capital Projects Manual and Approvals Protocol (CPM&AP).
4. Assist in the functioning of the National Capital and Property Steering Committee.
5. Support the management of the operation of the Committee and the evaluation of project submissions.
6. Liaise with relevant directors, estate managers, and project managers on capital projects to ensure compliance.
7. Assist in establishing and managing a project reporting structure as required.
8. Support the delivery of National Priority Projects and Programmes.
9. Work collaboratively with various health service management and structures regarding capital and estates business.
10. Assist in the development and implementation of the National Estates Information System (NEIS).
11. Represent the Estates Manager and Capital Unit in strategy and planning groups.
12. Support the implementation of the Capital Programme/Plan.
13. Co-operate with the Health Services Transformation Programme as required.
14. Achieve targets and complete work within allocated resources.
15. Identify, assess, manage, and monitor risks within your area of responsibility.
16. Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders.
17. Develop good working relationships within the team and with service administrators.
18. Support and participate in sustainability initiatives for energy, water, and waste.
19. Ensure Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is integrated into daily business and maintain safety records.
20. Consult and communicate with staff and safety representatives on OSH matters.
21. Perform all other duties as requested or assigned.
What you need to apply:
* Hold a Level 8 (or higher) qualification in Architecture, Engineering, or Surveying accredited by the relevant Professional Institute.
* Membership of the relevant professional association or eligibility for registration under the Building Control Act.
* At least five years’ satisfactory experience in architecture, engineering, or surveying, including experience in construction or maintenance of buildings or services.
* High standard of technical training and experience.
* Knowledge and ability for proper discharge of duties, including knowledge of building regulations and healthcare standards.
* Experience with option appraisal, cost estimation, hospital design, project management, and procurement processes.
* Computer skills including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Project Manager, SAP, etc.
* Effective strategic and tactical thinking skills.
* Strong judgment, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
* Management skills to influence and collaborate with colleagues.
* Leadership skills for team management and motivation.
* Excellent communication skills for presenting information clearly.
