Overview
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Behaviour Change-Exercise & Sport Psychology at UNSW, based in Kensington, Sydney, Australia.
The School of Health Sciences at UNSW is expanding to support education programs and aims to shape the future health workforce in Australia and beyond. This role focuses on content development and delivery of Behaviour Change/Mental Health content and Sports Psychology curricula within Health Professional Programs. The role may be filled as either Education Focused (Teaching & Learning) or Teaching & Research, depending on the candidate and position description.
Responsibilities
* Content development and delivery of Behaviour Change/Mental Health and Sports Psychology curricula.
* Contribute to teaching and learning design for undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs.
* Engage in high-quality research if applying for Teaching & Research or maintain ongoing professional development as appropriate for Education Focused roles.
* Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines (exercise, physiotherapy, dietetics, and pharmacy) where relevant.
Qualifications and Experience
* Level B – Education Focused Role: A completed PhD in a related discipline (Exercise or Psychology/Behaviour Change) or substantial teaching experience in lieu of a PhD; demonstrated experience in sub-disciplinary areas of exercise behaviour change, mental health and health/sport psychology; experience in teaching and learning design and delivery; experience with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
* Level C – Education Focused Role (in addition to Level B): Significant experience in teaching and learning design, curriculum development, evidence of teaching excellence and inclusive learning culture; demonstrated ability to lead curriculum development and improvement; strong professional development in teaching practice.
* Level B – Teaching & Research Role: PhD or equivalent; demonstrated experience in relevant sub-disciplines; extensive teaching and learning design experience; evidence of teaching effectiveness and leadership in teaching practice; track record in curriculum development and research leadership; supervision of research students; ability to attract research funding.
* Level C – Teaching & Research Role (in addition to Level B): Further demonstrated track record in teaching excellence and research leadership; ongoing curriculum development and high-quality research outcomes.
Remuneration and Terms
* Employment Type: Full-time (35 hours per week)
* Duration: Continuing
* Remuneration: 127k - 178k base (+17% super and leave loading)
* Location: Kensington, Sydney
* Work rights: Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must have full rights to work in Australia.
