As Specification Manager, you will be responsible for generating and managing product specifications and designs, acting as the technical interface between customers and the business. #insulationukKey AttributesExcellent administrative and organizational skills.Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to work proactively on own initiative.Self-motivated and enthusiastic with ability to meet deadlines.Be a team player working with others to achieve company goals.Experienced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Package.Key Tasks and DutiesSpecify and promote technical products, services, installations, and configurations to assigned customers for specific technical products and/or application of productRecord and maintain customer and project data on company CRM systemProvides technical interface between customer and companyResearch customer's technical specifications and requirements with current or potential technical specifications of company productsAttend technical sales briefings with customersPrepare pipeline forecastsInvestigate new applications or improvements to products with customers and other departmentsAttend trade fairs and seminars, co-ordinate stands etc / Co-ordinate samples for potential customersLiaise with architects, developers, building contractors and other bodiesAssist other departments as requested to ensure company objectives are obtained.Tasks may require flexible working hours, and you may be asked to travel to our other sites from time to timeProvide sound technical knowledge to act as the main technical contact advising those involved in specification or requiring technical assistanceLiaising with architects and other professionals where technical advice is required.Develop the role by making initial contact with clients and building a database of the contactsDevelop and present CPD presentations on a variety of subjects relating to energy efficiency in building designIdentify and develop presentations in co-ordination with the Technical ManagerMake recommendations to architects on receipt of drawingsInteract with clients/customers on regular basis by phone/email etc.Make personal onsite visits to clients/customersSupport the administration function of the Technical OfficeAssist in the preparation and issuing of company reports where requiredMaintain efficient administration proceduresContinuously look at ways to develop systems to improve the performance and efficiencies of your roleAssist other departments when required to ensure company objectives are achievedTraining on any company software that may be required to assist you in your roleDeal with correspondence in an efficient and confidential mannerOrganize and attend Unilin Insulation trade exhibitionsAttend all appropriate Unilin Insulation meetingsWhat can you expect?Unilin is a fast-growing, profitable and bustling group that is active internationally.
