Manufacturing Engineer- On Site, Hardware Engineering - Manufacturing
Amazon Web Services' Hardware Engineering team is looking for experienced Manufacturing Engineers to operate in a fast paced, multi-platform international manufacturing and production environment.
This on-site role works closely with contract manufacturers (CMs) to scale up production on NPIs and meet production and quality targets.
You will collaborate with ODMs, CMs, internal AWS hardware and software development teams, and upstream component vendors to monitor and improve incoming hardware quality both proactively in the design phase and through monitoring, reporting and investigating early-life product failures.
You will own manufacturing launches and drive resolution of process issues, guiding production readiness and addressing root causes of hardware failures.
You'll join a diverse team across software, hardware, and network engineering, supply chain, security, operations, and other roles.
You'll collaborate across AWS to deliver high safety and security standards while providing strong capacity at optimal cost.

Key job responsibilities
Manage quality at the contract manufacturer (CM).
Provide on-site support to new product launches as well as sustaining issues.
Design in quality and manufacturability on new server and rack designs.
Root cause customer-impacting issues and drive resolution.

Qualifications
Basic
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience with server platforms or high-tech hardware.
5+ years of experience working with manufacturing suppliers to improve incoming quality of systems.
5+ years of experience reducing cycle time and improving labor efficiency.
Preferred
Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to take a product from concept to production.
Experience with project management of technical projects.
