Role Overview We are seeking a Junior Fertility Nurse to join the Beacon CARE Fertility team, supporting the Nurse Managers and senior nursing colleagues in the delivery of safe, compassionate, and high-quality fertility care. The role involves close collaboration with medical, embryology, administrative, and quality teams to support patients throughout their treatment journey. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse with an interest in fertility care to develop specialist skills within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver safe, patient-centred nursing care in line with best practice, clinic policies, and regulatory requirements. Support the coordination and delivery of assisted reproductive treatments. Assist with clinical procedures including: Embryo transfer Oocyte collection Intrauterine insemination (IUI) Support patients through education, reassurance, and advocacy throughout treatment. Maintain accurate patient documentation, including informed consent and clinical records. Review screening results and identify/report any clinical concerns appropriately. Adhere to the clinic Quality Management System, SOPs, and all relevant legislation including SI 158 of 2006 and SI 598 of 2007. Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional development. Maintain strict patient confidentiality and effective communication across all departments. Participate in on-call and occasional unsocial hours as required. Essential Requirements Registered Nurse or Midwife (or eligible for registration) with NMBI. Relevant Diploma or Degree in Nursing/Midwifery. Experience in fertility, IVF, gynaecology, midwifery, or womens health settings. Knowledge of SI 158 of 2006 and SI 598 of 2007. Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to patient-centred, quality-focused care. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Clinical skills including venepuncture and patient education. Desirable not Essential Postgraduate qualification in fertility or midwifery. Experience in pelvic ultrasound scanning. Counselling experience or training. Strong IT and administrative skills.
