Externship at Navan Veterinary Services
In this on‑farm externship, students will work closely with a supervising veterinarian to gather patient histories, perform physical examinations, create treatment plans, conduct diagnostics, provide dentistry services, observe, assist or perform surgical procedures, and manage patient medical care. Students will also develop communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.
Externships range from two to eight weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules. They are available to veterinary students in their final year of veterinary school and those in the clinical portion of their education.
Gather patient histories

Observe, assist, or perform surgical procedures

Communicate with the medical team, support staff, and clients
Veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel and living expense stipend.
