We are currently seeking a Commis Chef to join our growing team in a vibrant and professional kitchen environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for food and a strong desire to learn and grow within a professional kitchen environment.
You'll assist our experienced chefs with daily kitchen operations while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety at all times.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen is required.
Key responsibilities for the Commis Chef position:
Assist in the preparation, cooking and presentation of food items
Learn and manage kitchen sections under the supervision of senior chefs
Ensure all workstations are kept clean and hygienic
Operate and clean kitchen equipment safely and correctly
Follow proper storage procedures for all food and ingredients
Support with stock control and rotation
Adhere to all Food Safety, Health & Safety, and hygiene regulations
Perform additional tasks as required by senior chefs or management
Ideal candidate will:
1–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen
Strong interest in food and culinary development
Basic knowledge of HACCP and kitchen safety practices
Team player with excellent communication skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Flexible with working hours – must be available for weekdays and weekends as well as evening work
