Salary Scale:
€39,160 (€*****/hour) to €54,746 (€*****/hour) pro rata per annum.
Salary is subject to Long Service Increment (LSI) and will be reviewed in **** under the WRC agreement.
Annual Leave Entitlement:
10.7% of hours worked for variable hours contracts.
Overview of the Post:
Lavanagh House Children's Respite delivers short-term respite care, day and night, grouping children by age and interest.
Staffing levels complement the health and social care needs of attending children.
The role requires working in partnership with service users and families to plan, deliver, and evaluate services.
Responsibilities
Assist children with daily living tasks and personal care.
Help children with medical needs and administer medication as required.
Contribute to the development of personal care plans.
Act as a key worker and provide consistent support.
Engage in professional supervision and multidisciplinary teamwork.
Respond to complaints and concerns raised by children, families, or staff.
Qualifications & Experience
Professional registration on the Social Care Workers Register (CORU) and maintaining annual registration.
Experience in developing and implementing personal care plans.
Experience working with adults and children with physical, intellectual, or ASD needs and behaviours of concern.
Experience in personal care for adults and administering medication.
Experience in supervising and leading within a multidisciplinary team.
Experience responding to complaints and providing solutions.
