You can experience a world of opportunity and the chance to shape a career as unique as you.A Little More About Your Role… As an Associate EIA Consultant within WSP you will work with a range of technical environmental specialists and design teams across multiple sectors to lead environmental teams and inputs to project designs and assessments. You will be instrumental in improving the environmental performance for a diverse range of projects across multiple sectors. The role would suit an enthusiastic individual looking to influence, lead and deliver environmental elements of engineering projects, within a wide range of sectors including rail, highways, energy and commercial / residential, from feasibility through to planning, detailed design, construction and handover / maintenance. You will have responsibility for leading projects including tasks relating to recruitment, bidding, project team management, project delivery, and financial management.ResponsibilitiesDelivery of Environmental Impact Assessment ReportsTaking ownership of projects from inception to completion and providing regular project updates to the environment team director and clientsProject Lead on EIA projects involving multidisciplinary teamsTechnical lead in a discipline as related to EIA (e.g., ecology, noise or air quality)Preparing planning applications, licences, permits and annual environmental reports (e.g., waste licences)Knowledge of the regulatory environment in Ireland including planning and permitting/licensing requirementsPrioritising projects while balancing client expectations, available staff resources and project deadlinesProposal preparation and identifying follow-on work opportunities with existing clients to broaden WSP\'s client baseWhat We Will Be Looking For You To DemonstrateHave an understanding of EIA and planning laws that affect EIA in IrelandA relevant environmental degree level qualification in EIA, or similarDemonstrable post-qualified experience of leading environmental assessments on a variety of projects, including large-scale infrastructure projects, and across different development sectorsComprehensive project management skills, including commercial and risk aspects, forecasting, and quality assuranceExperience in work winning and bid preparation activitiesWhat’s in It For YouWe offer work-life balance with hybrid working policies, inclusivity and belonging, health and wellbeing programs, flexible time options, and development opportunities through training and mentoring.EEO StatementHere at WSP we positively encourage applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion or belief, marital status, pregnancy or maternity/paternity.
