Overview
NEC Software Solutions is hiring for a Retinal Technician role in Fermoy, Co. Cork and surrounding counties. The role involves Eye Photography to identify damage to the retina caused by diabetes. Experience is not essential, making this a strong opportunity for someone entering healthcare or expanding their skills. You will be supported by a professional team as you develop expertise in this space.
Our Team
You'll be part of the national programme, working alongside Senior Diabetic Retinal Technicians, the Team Leader, and other programme seniors, with support from the administration team, programme manager and clinical lead. Our team is comprised of subject matter experts in Retinopathy, ensuring you have access to guidance and support.
As a company, we aim to provide our patients and clients with consistently high care, skill and professional integrity. The role involves travelling to and from health centres and clinic locations using a company vehicle.
Responsibilities
The role involves Eye Photography to identify retinal damage related to diabetes; work is performed within a healthcare context and requires travel to health centres/clinic locations.
Qualifications
* Experience is not required
* Full clean Irish Driving Licence and a safe place to house the company vehicle are essential
* A passion for customer care and positive patient outcomes
* IT literacy (word processing, spreadsheets and regular use of Microsoft Office)
* Initiative and the ability to prioritise tasks, plus problem-solving skills
* A great work ethic and a proactive approach, as you’ll be largely unsupervised after the initial training period
* Excellent communication skills at all levels
