As a Graduate Technology Services Consultant, you will provide varied engineering and technical tasks and activities to national and international projects. You will assist in the development and production of ITS project deliverables and advise in accordance with the relevant standards and Project Manager/Client needs. This will include but not be limited to:
1. Project Bids
2. Feasibility Studies
3. Site Investigations
4. Design specifications
5. Design Calculations
6. Technical Documentation
7. Project management support duties
8. Project Reports
Additionally, you will:
1. Identify how information can be utilized to achieve project aims and how it will be applied throughout the engineering process.
2. Participate in the resolution of technical issues and consideration of new/innovative ideas.
3. Gain proficiency in the use of specialist software packages such as AutoCAD, AmTech.
4. Comply with relevant Health & Safety regulations.
5. Attend meetings with the Project Manager/Client and other project-related stakeholders.
6. Take ownership of personal development in order to maintain and build professional capabilities, including identifying suitable training and development opportunities.
Qualifications:
1. BEng in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Telecommunications Engineering, or associated degree such as Mathematics or Physics, with a 2:1 classification (or equivalent) or above.
2. A Masters degree in the above would be an advantage.
3. Demonstrable interest in Technology Services and developing a career in this industry.
4. Willing and able to work towards the relevant professional institute.
5. Good Microsoft Office skills essential such as Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
6. Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external clients, both verbally & in writing.
7. Enthusiastic, hard-working, with ambition and drive.
8. Ability to structure & prioritize work effectively through close cooperation with the team.
9. Ability to work in a team and independently without losing initiative & focus.
