Maintenance Technician Job Description
This role is responsible for ensuring machine changeovers, stoppages, and breakdowns are carried out in a timely manner to targets with minimal disruption to production schedules.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure safe work practices are followed at all times, reporting any near misses immediately to the EHS Department.
* E nsure that maintenance areas and equipment are kept clean, tidy, and secure (including storage areas).
* Liaise with Engineering Supervisor and Operational Engineering Manager on rapid response times for breakdowns/stoppages minimising loss of production time.
* Participate in A3 Problem solving activities on major issues leading to Root cause analysis.
* Analyse equipment redesigning any systems/equipment for process improvement purposes while Planning and implementing engineering projects effectively advising the relevant parties accordingly regarding plant requiring major repair or maintenance highlighting potential areas for continuous improvement within Production area.
Frequently Used Skills & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate discipline such as mechanical electrical etc.,. OR equivalent experience which may be considered by us if there isn't enough demonstrated education ,4 years' hands-on experience preferably gained from working outside after completing formal studies.
