Graduate Engineer – Permanent, Onsite | €35‑40k per year |
We are looking for a Graduate Engineer with at least 1 year of experience in the road industry to join a leading technical team in Ireland. This is a permanent, onsite role offering an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in chemical and materials engineering within a dynamic industrial environment. You will be part of a company that develops innovative road construction solutions and chemical products used in bitumen and pavement materials, with a strong focus on research, product development, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct chemical, bitumen, and emulsion testing to defined specifications.
Record, analyse, and communicate test results to the Technical Manager and team.
Support product development, R&D, and technical troubleshooting.
Participate in the development of new test methods and lab practices.
Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated and maintained.
Maintain inventory of small equipment, chemicals, and supplies.
Comply with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality Systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Materials, or Chemical Engineering.
Minimum 1 year of experience in the road industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Desirable: Laboratory experience, co‑op/internship in industrial settings, knowledge of pavement materials and testing.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Good organisational and multitasking abilities.
Self‑motivated, proactive, and a team player.
Interest in materials science and technical development.
Strong written and spoken English; ability to write technical reports.
