Job Description
MedGen Healthcare Ireland is currently hiring Healthcare Assistants for multiple positions in County Galway and surrounding counties. We're seeking caring, reliable, and committed professionals to support residents in a range of healthcare settings.
Responsibilities:
* Support nursing staff in delivering high-quality, person-centred care
* Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
* Assist residents with personal hygiene and appearance while maintaining dignity
* Help organise and participate in social and recreational activities
* Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained
* Adhere to health and safety protocols
* Carry out additional duties as directed by the Nurse in Charge or management
Requirements:
* QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification (or equivalent) – completed or in progress (Mandatory modules: Care skill/care support and care of the older person)
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Valid eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland- non sponsorship role
* Fluent English – written and spoken
