Join us as a Finance Business Partner in Cork. Pipelife Ireland is a division of Wienerberger UK & Ireland. Pipelife is Ireland’s leading manufacturer of plastic piping systems, drawing on over 50 years of experience developing innovative products for the domestic, industrial and agricultural sectors.
About The Role
As a Finance Business Partner you will be a trusted finance partner to our manufacturing operation in Cork, bringing clarity and insight to our cost base and supporting strong operational decision making.
You will collaborate closely with production and finance colleagues to strengthen performance, control, and profitability.
Duties
Maintain and improve standard costs across all products
Ensure BOMs and routings reflect accurate production conditions
Analyse monthly production variances and explain key drivers
Own data integrity for part numbers, BOMs, routings, and work centres
Act as the link between finance and operations teams
Build cost assumptions for budgets and forecasts
Develop and maintain capacity and utilisation models
Improve SAP costing structures and reporting
Through this role you will help us understand cost drivers, improve manufacturing performance, and support better decisions for our customers and our business. Your work will contribute to consistent delivery, efficiency, and long term profitability.
You will have opportunities to build strong cross functional relationships and collaborate with colleagues across the wider Wienerberger group.
Working hours are full time, Monday to Friday. 37.5 hours a week.
Travel to Manchester (UK) will be required periodically.
Essential
About you
Qualified or part qualified accountant, or qualified by experience
Good experience in manufacturing or operational finance
Strong SAP costing and reporting knowledge
Advanced Excel capability
Strong stakeholder engagement experience
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Highly numerate with a precise approach
Desirable
Exposure to audit, compliance, or sustainability reporting
Degree level education, or equivalent level of training
