We are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor in Waterford. The project you will be working on is a multi-million euro commercial build, commencing in 2025.
Responsibilities:
1. Advise on contractual matters at both general and project-specific levels.
2. Manage and process contractual claims.
3. Identify opportunities to maximise revenue, reduce costs, and investigate losses.
4. Assist with project cash management and correspondence.
5. Negotiate and agree terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
6. Ensure timely preparation of commercial/contractual correspondence.
7. Draft, prepare, and review monthly cost reports and final accounts.
8. Maintain and update risk registers, variation trackers, and extension of time records as part of monthly reporting.
9. Handle measurement, pricing, and negotiation of variations with clients and subcontractors.
Requirements:
1. A professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
2. Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on large-scale construction projects.
3. Expertise in managing high headcount construction sites and subcontractors.
4. Strong collaboration skills, particularly with Commercial Managers, Contracts Managers, and client representatives.
Salary Package:
1. Salary: €75k - €85k
