Overview R&D Engineer II - Medical Devices (Limerick, Hybrid).
STEM Recruitment Partners is working with a leading medical device company in Limerick seeking an R&D Engineer II to join their team on a 12-month contract basis.
This role will support a next-generation Vena project and design history file (DHF) updates.
Up to €58/hour DOE.
1-3 days onsite per week is required.
Responsibilities Lead device design, prototyping, testing, and design transfer to production Conduct risk analysis, design reviews, and ensure regulatory compliance (ISO13485, FDA, MDR)Manage R&D projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet milestones Support innovation through performance evaluations, reports, and patent activity Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field)3+ years' R&D/medical device experience Class III medical devices experience is advantageous Proficiency in CAD (Solid Works/Pro E) and regulatory standards Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills Willingness to travel as needed
