Job Title: Chief Medical Officer
The position of Chief Medical Officer is a senior leadership role that requires a medical professional to lead the delivery of high-quality, safe patient care across the department.
Main Responsibilities:
* Patient Care Delivery: The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of strategies to ensure high-quality, safe patient care within the department.
* Employee Welfare: This role involves managing the provision of welfare, well-being, and counseling services to employees.
* MEDICAL STANDARDS: Establishing medical standards for employee fitness to work, with emphasis on safety-critical positions.
* Primary General Practitioner Services: Administering primary general practitioner services to employees and their families.
* Drug and Alcohol Testing Program: Interpreting and reporting results as a Medical Review Officer.
* Safety Management Systems: Supporting the organization's safety management systems.
* Statutory Legislation: Advising management on compliance with statutory legislation regarding employee health and safety.
* Medical Ill Health Retirement: Providing specialist advice on medical Ill Health Retirement.
Requirements:
* A Primary qualification in Medicine from a recognized Medical School/University.
* Membership of the Irish College of GPs or Royal College of Physicians Ireland or equivalent.
* Membership of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine, Royal College of Physicians Ireland or equivalent.
* On the Specialist Register of the Medical Council of Ireland in Occupational Medicine.
* Fellowship of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians Ireland or equivalent.
