Top Oil has a vacancy for a Business Development Manager – Retail Dealer Network (West Region)
What you can expect in a typical day:
The Irish Sales and Marketing business (Top Oil) is on a journey to become the industry leader.
The appointment of a Business Development Manager will shape, develop and implement an effective sales strategy for the retail side of the business.
You will be supporting existing retail partners helping them to reach the best choices for their business needs.
You will also look to source new partnerships from across the region.
The role will involve both face to face as well as over the phone meetings, you will also have the opportunity to network and generate leads at various industry events.
This position will report directly to the Sales Manager - Dealers and will be based out in the field supporting the West Region.
Key Responsibilities:
Maximise sales opportunities across the region, and work cross-functionally with other channels to source further growth opportunities.
Maintain and grow the Dealer and Licencee customer base through acquisition, building positive and lasting relationships in accordance with company budgets and targets (volume and margin), as directed by the Sales Manager – Dealers.
Proactively address volume variance reports with existing customers and action as required.
Investigate the potential for new Dealer and Licencee locations within your sales territory.
Identify opportunities to increase our product offering at locations e.g. Adblue, HVO.
Develop marketplace intelligence
Engage with Marketing initiatives.
Attend the Dealer and Licencee locations on a regular basis (as agreed by the Sales Manager - Dealers) to ensure all sites are fully operational and comply with Company Brand and Operational Procedures.
Maintain and update Salesforce in accordance with Company guidelines.
Ensure excellent credit control, by working closely with the Sales Manager - Dealers and Credit Control Team
Work within the margin guidelines/parameters as agreed with the Sales Manager - Dealers.
Work to specific targets to manage costs and drive efficiencies
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all required documentation.
What you'll need to succeed:
A proven background in sales, working with defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Key account management experience
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent presentation, influencing and communication skills – both written, verbal as well as strong listening skills
A proven ability to deliver a sales plan by managing and influencing stakeholders and through negotiation and consensus building
Capable of building productive relationships with multiple stakeholders
Be open to learning and using a CRM tool 'Sales Force'
Strong capability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Extensive background in business change, the utilization of technology to enhance customer engagement
Full driving license is essential as the role involves regular travel.
Business development networking, strategic sales planning, strong commercial acumen and experience, together with significant market exposure are desirable.
Ability to work independently and proactively to develop your responsibilities.
Education and experience
At least 5 years comparable experience in sales and business development
Extensive knowledge of the industry and its competitors
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent Customer service skills
Full clean driving license
