Overview
Senior Analyst, Network Operations. The Load Balancer Operations Team is responsible for the entire lifecycle of the platform, including the analysis, patching, and operational support of all load balancer configurations at Mastercard. The primary responsibility is ensuring infrastructure configurations and monitoring capabilities adhere to Mastercard standards, processes, availability requirements, and best practices. This role requires a deep understanding of load balancer hardware, networking, security and the tools used to monitor, test and troubleshoot those technologies. This is a hands-on role that monitors and ensures load balancer stability and uptime across the Mastercard enterprise network.
Responsibilities
* Interact with the engineering and project teams to transform business and technical requirements into load balancer monitoring strategies.
* Support the creation of solutions with high level of innovation, cost effectiveness, high quality and faster time to market.
* Contribute to the overall strategy and manage complex issues within the functional area of expertise.
* Develop and maintain automation around troubleshooting and overall stability of load balancer instances and configurations.
* Lead troubleshooting sessions and drive sessions to resolution; provide training to Operations staff to educate and better position teams for support of complex environments.
* Collaborate with Business Operations and Service Delivery teams to architect complex network design solutions that scale for strategic growth.
Experience & Qualifications
* Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or related.
* Strong experience at Internet / data center architecture and monitoring standards.
* Strong experience with load balancers and web application firewalls.
* Network connectivity – IPv4, IPv6, port assignment.
* Experience with one of the following technologies: Citrix NetScaler, HA Proxy, AVI and F5 BIG-IP products preferred.
* Expert at SSL and digital certificates; experience with load balancing HTTP/HTTPS; web and middleware experience preferred.
* Experience in multi-cloud environments (public, private, hybrid).
* Experience delivering agile projects utilizing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines; familiar with version control systems like GIT or SVN.
* Experience with AGILE/SCRUM project management methodologies; Internet architecture and project delivery.
* Network diagnostics, BGP, SNMP, SSH technologies.
