Job Description:
The Systems Analyst will be responsible for executing technical upgrades of our investment management system (IMS) for SaaS clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Technical Assessment and Planning:
o Assess client systems and infrastructure to determine compatibility and readiness for upgrades.
o Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define technical requirements and dependencies for upgrade projects.
o Develop detailed upgrade plans, including timelines, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
* Upgrade Execution and Deployment:
o Lead technical aspects of upgrade projects, including software installation, configuration, and testing.
o Coordinate with development and testing teams to ensure smooth transition to upgraded systems.
o Implement deployment strategies to minimize downtime and disruption to client operations.
* Testing and Quality Assurance:
o Help develop and execute test plans to validate functionality, performance, and compatibility of upgraded systems.
o Identify and troubleshoot technical issues and discrepancies during testing phases.
o Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the upgrade process.
* Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:
o Create and maintain documentation for knowledge transfer.
o Contribute to team training and support clients on upgraded system functionality and usage.
o Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to share insights and lessons learned from past upgrade projects.
* Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
o Serve as a primary point of contact for technical support during the upgrade deployments.
o Investigate and resolve technical issues reported by clients or internal stakeholders.
o Escalate complex issues or system failures to appropriate teams for resolution.
* Continuous Improvement:
o Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to upgrade processes and systems.
o Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to streamline upgrade workflows.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements and optimize upgrade methodologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience with Financial Services Investment Management, Trading or related systems highly preferable (e.g. Charles River IMS).
* Proven ability to partner with various internal departments to deliver superior customer service.
* Experience in MS SQL Server and/or Sybase database configuration, operations, and basic administration functions.
* Excellent customer service skills, technical troubleshooting skills, and interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
* Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical discipline such as Computer Science, IT, Financial Engineering, Engineering, Science, Economics, Maths' or Statistics preferred.
