You will report directly to a Contracts Manager and be responsible for overseeing a full project team and associated subcontractors in the safe, timely execution of the works in accordance with the project budgetary, programme, and quality requirements.
GeneralDay-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of subcontractors.Health and SafetyEnsure that the works are delivered in the safest manner possible, with the support of the Site Manager, EHS Advisor, and Contracts Manager, in accordance with all legislative requirements.Ensure contractors on site execute works as per their approved method statement & risk assessment.Give daily site briefings to the workforce prior to starting work to ensure interface risks between subcontractors are safely managed.Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping.Report all safety incidents and/or accidents to the Safety Advisor & Company Directors in strict accordance with company protocols.Prepare method statements and risk assessments for construction activities as required.Help the company achieve its goal of Zero Harm on all worksites for workers and third parties.Technical/QualitySupervise site engineering resources in the timely execution of setting out and surveying activities for various building trades.Ensure the project is delivered snag-free to the satisfaction of the Client.Coordinate with Contracts Manager, Site Engineers, and Services Coordinator to ensure subcontractors and site personnel have timely and accurate information.Resolve unexpected technical difficulties arising from revised details or site situations.Ensure all materials and work performed meet specifications and drawing requirements.Ensure subcontractors execute their works as per their approved Inspection and Testing Plans and sign off inspection records as required.Manage the RFI process on site and keep the associated register up to date.Manage the submittals process on site and keep the associated register up to date.ManagementAct as the first point of contact on site for day-to-day Client and designer liaison.Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the workforce to ensure timely project completion.Manage requisition processes for all materials and plant on site.Familiarize with contract documents supplied by the Client/architect.Monitor progress against the Contract Programme and escalate delays or risks to the Contracts Manager.Assist in producing and revising the contract and sub-programmes with the Contracts Manager & Planner.Ensure weekly records of plant, labour, and materials are issued to Head Office.Maintain company-owned plant and equipment in good working order.Conduct yourself professionally at all times, protecting the company's interests.To be suitable for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
