Job Opportunity:
A Mechanical Construction Manager with extensive experience in leading site safety, managing site quality assurance, and overseeing project costs is sought after for a challenging Mechanical engineering services project in Kerry. This senior role requires a seasoned professional to drive site operations, manage teams, and ensure project goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee site safety initiatives and collaborate with the safety team to develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
* Develop and implement site quality assurance plans to ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Manage project schedules, tracking progress, and identifying areas for improvement.
* Control project costs, including labor, materials, plant, and variations, to ensure budgetary targets are met.
* Supervise day-to-day site operations, ensuring that project objectives are achieved efficiently.
* Lead and motivate the on-site team, fostering a collaborative environment across all disciplines.
* Monitor subcontractor performance, progress, and manpower levels, making adjustments as necessary.
* Conduct regular coordination meetings with subcontractors and package leads to ensure smooth project execution.
* Manage snagging and punch lists in support of QA/QC processes.
* Report labor hours for direct staff and subcontractors, ensuring accurate tracking and billing.
* Facilitate site meetings and reviews throughout the project lifecycle, promoting open communication and issue resolution.
* Support project close-out, including documentation, handover, and resource relocation, to ensure a seamless transition.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a Mechanical Construction Manager role or similar, with a proven track record of success.
* Trade background or relevant third-level qualification in engineering or construction, demonstrating expertise in design and construction principles.
* Demonstrated ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and construction programs effectively, driving projects forward through strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
* This Mechanical Construction Manager will need a deep understanding of the complete design and construction lifecycle, enabling them to make informed decisions and drive project success.
* Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale construction projects, with a focus on efficiency, cost control, and quality delivery.
* Full, clean driver's license, facilitating site visits and project requirements.
