Project / Contracts Manager – Commercial Building Project (Co. Wexford)
It's a 5-story concrete frame over piles job that involves adding a 22-bed extension, function room, reception and restaurant/bar expansion over a 15-month contract.
The role is a permanent position.
Responsibilities
Manage on-site construction teams for the successful delivery of the projects.
Manage all Health and Safety aspects of the project.
Manage on-site supply chain to ensure timely delivery.
Manage project programmes and monitor progress to ensure delivery.
Hold regular on-site progress meetings with project team and suppliers.
Contribute to formulation of construction methodology and project management plan, adopting and improving as the project advances.
Comply with company management, quality, and environmental systems.
Represent the company at all project meetings.
Manage client expectations on all contracts to develop and maintain relationships.
Qualifications
Degree or higher diploma in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years' experience on large-scale building projects.
Experience delivering projects in tight time frames and on urban sites.
Excellent knowledge of latest building regulations and certification standards.
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
Good spoken and written communication skills.
Methodical, detail-oriented, accurate.
Team-player with ability to work with all levels.
Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative.
Drive to exceed targets.
