On behalf of our client, we are seeking anAssistant Director of Nursing (ADON)to join ahigh-quality Nursing Home in County Waterford. Requirements: Current and active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). A minimum of 2 years experience in a management role within a healthcare or nursing home environment. Post-registration qualification in Gerontology and/or Dementia Care is highly advantageous. Right to work in Ireland. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with a strong commitment to staff development and empowerment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver and maintain the highest standards of nursing and social care, tailored to the individual needs of each resident. Oversee clinical governance processes, including assessments and care planning, to ensure positive quality outcomes. Lead, support, and mentor CNMs, nurses, and care assistants, fostering teamwork, continuous learning, and excellence in care delivery. Manage and supervise medication processes, carry out regular audits, and collaborate closely with GPs and pharmacists to ensure compliance and best practice standards. Assist the Director of Nursing in upholding exceptional clinical, environmental, and hygiene standards throughout the home.
