We are looking for a Account Manager to join a leading European provider of sustainable corrugated packaging solutions. Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, this role suits a commercially driven and relationship-focused individual who enjoys managing existing accounts while proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities within targeted market sectors.
The role:
* Manage a defined sales territory, focusing on the growth and development of existing customer accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
* Build strong, long-term relationships with prospects and customers through a consultative sales approach, actively listening to customer needs and recommending appropriate packaging solutions.
* Drive sales across assigned accounts, ensuring alignment with customer needs and broader business objectives.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams across sales, design, planning, production and logistics to maximise operational efficiency and deliver a high standard of customer service.
* Consistently achieve and exceed individual and company sales targets through effective account management and new business development.
Candidate profile:
* Excellent relationship-building skills
* Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
* Ability to generate new business by targeting and identifying market areas aligned with business strategy
* Skilled in closing sales and providing tailored business solutions to meet customer requirements
* Structured sales approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Numerate and commercially astute
* Organised and professional in attitude, conduct, and appearance
* PC literate, competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Background in packaging or experience selling into FMCG, food & drink, or pharmaceutical sectors advantageous but not essential
