We are seeking a qualified Social Care Worker to join our team in providing care and support services to residents with intellectual disabilities.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing person-centered care and support through a practical, physical, and emotional approach. This includes:
* Providing support to residents with their daily plans and goals
* Assisting residents with living skills such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and family visits
* Working collaboratively with other staff members as part of a multidisciplinary team
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must hold a qualification at Level 7 or above that meets the criteria to be registered as a Social Care Worker with CORU. Additionally, they should have:
* Knowledge of quality assurance practices and their application to service provision
* Experience working in a residential, respite, or day service setting with individuals with intellectual disabilities
* Knowledge of Person-Centered Planning and National Disability Standards (HIQA)
