Senior Compliance Officer - Financial Crimes
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Compliance Officer to join our team in the dynamic field of Financial Crime. As a key member, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert compliance services to the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of global financial crime requirements, national regulations, and industry best practices. They will be responsible for assisting businesses with implementing Group policies, procedures, and systems related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT), sanctions, and fraud.
In this critical position, you will provide subject matter expertise for technology development and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure regional input is incorporated into the Global program.
You will also act as a liaison with regulatory bodies, such as the Central Bank of Ireland, on financial crime matters. Additionally, you will provide financial crime advice to the business, including fintechs, non-bank financial institutions, and corporate entities.
Your responsibilities will include monitoring and identifying suspicious activity, preparing AML/CFT risk assessments, and providing educational training/awareness on financial crimes-related subjects.
To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to convey complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
Required Qualifications:
* Sound knowledge of global financial crime requirements, national regulations, and industry best practices
* Experience working in Payments and/or Merchant Services
* Good communication skills - both verbal and written
* Ability to establish strong relationships within a large organization
* Proactive approach to problem-solving
