This is a newly created position in Dublin City Centre, offering a unique opportunity to work directly with the CFO and play a key role in building and shaping the local finance function.The successful candidate will take on broad financial responsibilities, including reporting, audit, tax, budgeting, and internal controls, while supporting the development of a best-in-class finance team in Ireland.Your Role:Act as a strategic finance partner to the CFO, providing hands-on support across all financial mattersLead the setup, growth and day-to-day management of the Irish finance teamOversee monthly financial reporting, annual budgeting, and forecasting processesOwn the internal and external audit cycle and ensure full year-end readinessManage corporation tax and VAT compliance for the Irish entity and associated European branchesImprove internal financial controls and standardise documentation and proceduresContribute to the continued development and success of the Irish operation as part of a wider global insurance groupYour Skills:Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 6+ years' post-qualified experienceExperience in the insurance or reinsurance sector is essentialPrior industry experience required – audit background considered only if insurance clients were includedStrong technical knowledge across financial reporting, tax and auditProven ability to lead, mentor and develop a finance teamCommercial awareness and a proactive approach to process improvementComfortable working in a growing, dynamic environmentShould this position be of interest to you please call Tadhg at 01 9052560.
