System Delivery Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of our Traffic Management System (TMS) project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the client-side delivery of the TMS project, including contract oversight, schedule management, issues management, stakeholder management, risk management, and providing regular reports to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the delivery team in planning and delivering the TMS project, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
* Manage the integration of the new TMS system into the operational network, including integration with existing systems and operational processes.
* Provide leadership and direction to the TMS project delivery team on all planning and delivery issues.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, operations and maintenance teams, and project teams.
* Direct, track, and report on project progress, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
* Coordinate with other project managers and workstream leads to ensure alignment of deliverables.
* Implement technical risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
* Ensure technical solutions meet safety standards and requirements.
* Monitor contractor and supplier quality performance and implement technical audits and reviews as required.
Requirements:
* Proven track record in leading and managing complex projects with multi-disciplinary technical aspects.
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies and control procedures with a minimum of 10 years' experience.
* Engineering degree or technical equivalent with Chartered Engineer status preferred.
* Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, communications, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Experience leading system configuration management, system change management, and change control processes for technology systems.
* Experience leading project interface management for technology systems in the rail domain.
* Experience in managing operational readiness activities in the rail domain.
* Experience in managing safety-relevant systems in the rail domain.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
