Ireland (Dublin / Castlebar / Galway / Limerick / Sligo) | Hybrid WorkingWe are currently working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join their growing Environment & Planning team.This is an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects, contributing to developments that shape communities and support sustainable infrastructure across Ireland.The RoleYou will play a key role in delivering high-quality planning services, working closely with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, environmental, and design functions.Key responsibilitiesPreparing and managing planning applications, reports, and appealsReviewing multidisciplinary outputs including drawings, figures, and technical reportsLeading on EIAR chapters and Planning & Environmental Consideration Reports (PECRs)Providing strategic planning advice and managing planning riskLiaising with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies including An Bord PleanálaSupporting planning-related legal processes, including judicial review documentationRepresenting clients at meetings, consultations, and oral hearings (as Expert Witness)Managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverablesMentoring junior team members and supporting team developmentContributing to tenders, business development, and client relationship managementAbout YouMinimum 8+ years’ experience in a planning role (public or private sector)Strong knowledge of the Irish planning system, legislation, and policyCorporate Member of the IPI or Chartered Member of the RTPI (or working towards)Excellent written, analytical, and communication skillsStrong stakeholder engagement and client-facing experienceAbility to manage complex projects and deliver high-quality outputsCollaborative mindset with experience working alongside engineers and environmental specialistsProficiency in MS Office and relevant project management toolsWhat’s on OfferCompetitive salary (DOE)Flexible hybrid working optionsStrong career progression opportunitiesExposure to a wide range of high-profile planning and infrastructure projectsSupportive, collaborative team environmentFor a confidential discussion or to learn more, feel free to get in touch.
