Job Description:
The EMEA Event Productions team is seeking a multi-disciplinary events support engineer who’s primary focus will be to support customers with their technical event requirements, filming and studio productions. A successful candidate will be an effective communicator that can handle multiple events from beginning to end, under tight and evolving deadlines. They can work independently with little supervision and collaborate with internal teams to raise the bar with each event. They will be committed, flexible, willing to travel, and have demonstrated the ability to maintain high levels of productivity with minimal supervision. The successful individual will be required to find solutions for basic to complex problems, implement new and challenging standards whilst holding to the highest bar with regards to quality and technical expertise.
Key job responsibilities
- Working with customers on the technical delivery of events.
- Setup and de-rig all equipment before and after an event, e.g. cameras, audio systems, vision mixers, play back systems and lights.
- Direct and own event operations during an event.
- Develop, document and maintain event/AV standards and drive process improvements.
- Ability to operate in the role autonomously, lead, train and oversee vendor personnel when required.
- Professional, discrete and service-minded communication with customers and co-workers in all modes: telephone, email, instant message, text or in person.
- Work effectively and productively with Event team members and all levels of the organization.
- Report any problems that arise with complex equipment, make repairs as able.
- Promptly report all needed equipment repairs and ensure preventive maintenance is performed.
- Professional, discrete and service-minded communication with customers and co-workers in all modes: telephone, email, instant message, text or in person.
- Raise the bar for our customers by searching out opportunities to evolve our services and to help others improve their skillsets and processes.
- Ensure all Health and Safety policies are followed to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
- Ensure all Security policies are followed to ensure our customer data is protected.
About the team
The Event Production team provides high quality support to internal Amazon customers. The team consists of engineers who work daily with the production equipment, helping to plan and execute each event within the space. The Event Production team culture is built around providing quality customer support for each event, and works to customize each event to provide the maximum results for each customer.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years Event Experience with video / audio and lighting equipment
- Experience in livestream or live broadcast operations
- Experience in videography or camera operation
- Experience in vision / audio mixing
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience on a studio set and understand set etiquette
- Bachelor's degree in film, media, production, marketing or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency with MacOS and WindowsOS, Microsoft Outlook and MS Office Suite
