Role Summary
The Duty Manager will be co-responsible for the overall management, administration, and promotion of our Naas facility. This part-time, on-site role focuses on ensuring the safe, smooth, and high-quality running of the gymnastics centre.
The Duty Manager will:
* Oversee the daily operations of the centre, including staff coordination and class schedules
* Ensure all programs and activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
* Step in to coach or assist classes when needed to maintain programme quality.
* Maintain facility cleanliness and readiness, including equipment set-up and pack-down
* Monitor and ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding regulations
* Provide excellent member service, supporting staff, parents, and gymnasts
* Support the promotion of the club to potential members and the local community
Key Responsibilities
* Facility Operations – Open/close the facility, check equipment, and ensure the venue is clean, safe, and ready for classes.
* Staff Support – Make sure coaches are on time and supported during classes; step in when needed and report to the Head Coach/Manager.
* Customer Service – Be the main contact for parents and members, handle queries, and ensure smooth communication about classes and attendance.
* Health & Safety – Ensure compliance with safeguarding, first aid, and fire safety; respond to incidents and complete reports.
* Admin & Reporting – Record attendance, incidents, and maintenance issues; support scheduling and handle payments if required.
Required Skills & Qualities
* Experience in gymnastics, sport, or facility management
* Strong leadership and decision-making skills
* Good communication with staff, parents, and members
* Problem-solving and calm under pressure
* Knowledge of health & safety and emergency procedures
* Flexible availability (evenings/weekends)
* First Aid, safeguarding training, and Garda Vetting (or willingness to obtain)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: €14.00-€16.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
