About the role
We are seeking an R&D Senior Technologist to join our Research Development and Application (RDA) team in Naas, Ireland. The successful candidate will develop beverages tailored to taste preferences and nutritional requirements, meeting the growing consumer demand for great-tasting, healthy beverages within the European market.
The role involves close collaboration with our taste/flavour teams and other relevant technology teams for Beverages, developing new products in partnership with our customers. It is customer-facing and involves supporting and driving business growth.
Key responsibilities
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure excellent service in concept development, sample delivery, product presentations, and customer support.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key beverage customers by understanding their market dynamics and providing technical support.
3. Lead projects from idea generation to formula finalization, working closely with Technical, Marketing, and stakeholders.
4. Ensure all products comply with legal, safety, cost, and compositional standards.
5. Manage projects to meet business goals, partnering with peers to deliver market-ready propositions.
6. Conduct sensory, consumer, and analytical testing to drive commercial success.
7. Communicate project plans and progress to stakeholders to meet business needs and ROI expectations.
8. Design and develop presentations linked to market-leading, consumer-focused concepts and present them effectively to customers.
9. Provide recommendations and best practices during beverage production trials.
10. Identify opportunities for process and performance improvements.
11. Analyze data to support decision-making through reports and analytics.
12. Apply understanding of taste technologies and flavor functionalities, considering cost, functionality, and stability.
13. Foster a culture of creativity and innovation within the team.
14. Continuously explore and implement creative solutions to enhance product offerings and meet customer needs.
Qualifications and skills
* Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related discipline.
* Experience in a Beverage Application role with flavor application expertise.
* Strong innovation skills to develop novel solutions and create competitive advantages.
* Proactive in overcoming challenges and delivering timely solutions.
* Good commercial awareness and market focus.
