Role Summary
As an In -House Carpenter at Oberland Ltd, you will be part of a skilled, collaborative team delivering high -quality carpentry and joinery across workshop fabrication and on -site installation projects. The role offers extensive hands -on involvement in workshop joinery, bespoke furniture production and building contract carpentry, allowing you to refine your skills while contributing meaningfully to creative and construction projects from concept through to completion.
This position is ideal for a carpenter in the early stages of their professional career who is looking to build strong technical experience, work with experienced tradespeople, and progress within a company that values craftsmanship, quality and long -term development.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in manufacturing bespoke furniture, cabinets, and joinery elements using timber and engineered board materials.
Interpret basic drawings and cutting lists with guidance from senior carpenters.
Operate workshop tools and machinery under supervision while learning best practices in fabrication and finishing.
Assist in furniture repair and restoration work, including sanding, assembly and finishing.
Support first fix carpentry tasks such as framing, structural timber fixes and non -load -bearing installations.
Support second fix tasks like fitting skirtings, trims and hardware as instructed.
Assist with transportation and installation of workshop -produced components on client sites.
Follow defined health & safety procedures at all times in workshop and site environments.
Maintain tools and workspace organisation.
Work collaboratively with team members to support project schedules and quality standards.
Requirements
years' experience in carpentry and woodworking environments (workshop or site).
Technical training or vocational education in carpentry and joinery is desirable but not mandatory if practical experience is demonstrated.
Willingness to learn advanced techniques and progress towards full craftsperson competence.
