Job Overview
The Care Partner Professional will work as part of a dedicated team under the supervision of qualified Nurses, delivering high-quality, person-centred care to meet the needs of residents. Their key responsibilities include supporting residents with personal hygiene, maintaining the cleanliness of living areas, ensuring safety and assisting with care plans and daily routines.
In addition, they will provide emotional support, companionship and facilitate social and recreational activities to promote wellbeing while ensuring dignity, respect and individual needs remain at the centre of care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing and toileting
* Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents, including their living areas and common spaces
* Assisting with care plans and daily routines, including medication administration and meal preparation
* Providing emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting their wellbeing and independence
* Facilitating social and recreational activities to promote engagement and community interaction
Requirements:
* Diploma or certificate in healthcare or related field
* Previous experience working in a care setting, preferably in a residential or aged care facility
* Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues
* Physical ability to perform tasks that require lifting, bending and standing for extended periods
* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, afternoons and evenings
