Position Summary
The position is responsible for general ledger related reporting duties for North American entities.
Responsibilities
Assist in preparation of US GAAP accounts and month end close
Completion and review of balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts
Ensure the presentation to business owners of financial data on a timely and accurate basis
Support the preparation of forecasts and annual plans
Preparation of detailed cost centre and payroll analysis
Collaborate extensively with relevant OEM sites
Ensure integrity and SOX compliance of financial, administrative and legal controls in accordance with entity policy and procedures
Ensure compliance with VAT, tax and fiscal requirements
Prepare information requested by internal and external auditors
Maintain integrity of internal financial controls
Perform ad hoc tasks to support the Finance function
Provide backup support for other colleagues as necessary
Education / Experience Requirements
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Business degree or diploma including accounting
Previous experience in a shared service centre
SAP user level experience preferable but not required
Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality
Excellent IT skills with a working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong attention to detail and good time‑management skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines
