Role Overview
Your day-to-day activities in Business Development will see you work primarily in the Government & Infrastructure sector, supporting the team on all aspects of account management and formal pursuits.
You will gain experience in the tendering process within EY, with responsibility for maintaining all the public sector tender portals, supporting pursuit teams as they complete their bid responses and you will be responsible for ensuring that all tenders are submitted ahead of strict public sector deadlines.
You will analyse performance data, create management reports and identify and publish the best-in-class responses that will serve to continually improve our win ratios.
You will have the opportunity to support on strategic account plans, perform key sector and competitor analysis and all other aspects of our Go To Market approach.
You will also support the wider Market Segment team in compiling performance reports, collating data, preparing decks and packs for markets boards and leadership, including reports on our Client Experience (Cx) programme.
On occasions, you will get to work with other members of the BD function on business-critical projects as they arise.
You'll work as part of an innovative team and make a real contribution to EY's growth strategy.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
You must be proficient in Microsoft 365 suite (especially Teams, Outlook, Sharepoint, Dynamics CRM, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and have experience of managing client relationship databases/tools.
You demonstrate excellent writing, communication, active listening and presentation skills.
You have good stakeholder management skills and experience with working directly with senior stakeholders.
Professional Services experience preferable but not essential.
Experience with bid management preferable but not essential.
Excellent written, oral, presentation and facilitation skills.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously through effective prioritisation, organisation, flexibility and self-discipline.
Must have demonstrated project management experience.
Can work with minimal supervision, to make decisions and progress activities.
Proactive committed team player.
