Overview
Due to the continued expansion of eir evo, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Level 1 Deskside Support Engineer. The successful candidate will become an integral part of our Managed Services Team, working on a dedicated team for a prestigious client, supporting an evolving and exciting multi-technology IT environment.
The role involves working with various technologies including Microsoft Servers, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, VMWare, Citrix, Cloud (Azure), and the latest Microsoft applications & solutions. This position is based onsite with our customer in Dublin City Centre.
Contract Duration: 3 months, from 1/8/25 to 31/10/25.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitoring, supporting, and configuring customer infrastructure
* Provisioning accounts and equipment
* Providing desktop support to the customer
* Supporting Windows desktops, Outlook, networks, MS Office
* Configuring Microsoft Server, Exchange, Active Directory
* Maintaining and updating documentation
* Hardware troubleshooting
* Interacting with and managing third parties
* Application troubleshooting and support
* Imaging and deployment
* Managing file permissions and access rights
* Configuring and supporting mobile devices
Experience:
* At least 2 years of experience in a deskside support environment
* Experience with Office and Virtualization is advantageous
Preferred Certifications:
* Microsoft Specialist certification in Windows 10
* A Microsoft MCP for Client or Server OS
