Estimator Role
Our client, a reputable Social Housing and Property Services Contractor, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team based in Magherafelt, Northern Ireland.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the commercial and operational teams by preparing accurate cost estimates for both tenders and live projects. They will assist in developing competitive bids, ensuring pricing accuracy, and analyzing project costs to support financial control.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of tender submissions, including accurate cost estimates and compliance with bid requirements;
* Performing material and labour quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and site visits;
* Developing cost estimates by gathering data on materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractors;
* Obtaining and analyzing quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing;
* Identifying and assessing potential project risks and incorporating contingency allowances where necessary;
For this role, we are looking for someone with relevant experience in construction or facilities management, who possesses strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

The ideal candidate will be commercially and operationally aware, with a strong understanding of sub-contractor management and experience operating within a fast-paced construction industry.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Relevant qualification in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or a related discipline;
* Proven experience leading estimating and pricing functions in construction, facilities management, or a related industry;
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships;
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team;
* IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
