This role offers the opportunity to work on enterprise‑scale systems in a standards‑driven, hybrid Agile environment with strong exposure to complex data, integrations, and regulated systems.As a Java Developer, you will contribute to both new development and enhancement work while supporting testing, releases, and ongoing system improvements. You will also play a key role in knowledge sharing and mentoring junior team members within a collaborative engineering environment.ResponsibilitiesDesign, estimate, and deliver new features and enhancements as a Java Developer in line with coding and architectural standardsDevelop and maintain high-quality code, including unit, integration, and automated testsSupport system test, release cycles, and assist with defect resolution and production migrationsWork closely with stakeholders, testers, and technical teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutionsContribute to risk tracking, reporting, and Agile/hybrid delivery ceremonies and documentationAbout You5+ years experience working as a Java Developer in enterprise or public sector environmentsStrong experience with Java, relational databases (SQL; exposure to Ingres advantageous), and data formats such as XML and JSONProven experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models within structured environmentsStrong understanding of software development lifecycle, testing practices, and CI/CD or release processesExcellent communication skills with experience mentoring or supporting junior developersThis Java Developer role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on coding while also contributing to team delivery, quality assurance, and continuous improvement in a regulated environment.If you are an experienced Java Developer looking for a stable 6‑month contract with strong extension potential and hybrid working flexibility, we would love to hear from you.
