Warehouse Operations Manager (Warehouse and Transport)
Osborne are delighted to be recruiting for a Warehouse Operations Manager for our client in Cork.
This position requires a leader with strong people and organizational skills, a proactive approach, and a focus on continuous improvement. The Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for managing all warehouse activities, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and delivery to the customer.
The ideal candidate will have a strong people management track record, a passion for driving change, and proven experience in a retail and business-to-customer (B2C) environment. This is essential, as the role involves working in a fast-paced operation where customer satisfaction and service levels are key.
Location: Cork
Salary: €60,000 – €70,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:
Plan, organise, manage, and participate in the day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storage, order picking, and dispatch.
Ensure inventory level accuracy and availability while minimizing discrepancies. Manage all returns from customers to suppliers.
Manage transport fleet – fleet performance, records, driver oversight, and compliance.
Forward-plan to receive and store all stock and customer orders efficiently.
Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations, maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
Analyse operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
People Management:
Provide strong leadership and clear direction to all team members.
Recruit, train, manage, evaluate, and develop warehouse staff.
Build effective relationships with relevant departments, branches, and external stakeholders.
Foster a positive, high-performance work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role overseeing both warehouse and transport operations.
Retail and B2C experience is essential, with a strong understanding of customer-facing logistics.
Strong knowledge of transport regulations, fleet management, and compliance standards.
Strong IT systems proficiency, including ERP and Microsoft Office.
Third-level degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is an advantage.
Full driver's licence – C category desirable.
Health & Safety qualifications are an advantage.
