RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment for both domestic and overseas candidates, providing staffing solutions to Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Home Care, and Community Care facilities.We are currently hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing for a well-established Nursing Home in Dublin, Ireland.ResponsibilitiesAct as the Person-in-Charge in the absence of the Director of Nursing, in accordance with the Health Act ****, related regulations, and HIQA standards.Ensure the highest standards of hygiene, infection control, and food safety are consistently maintained.Collaborate with senior management to deliver excellence across housekeeping, food safety and quality, maintenance, and administration.Participate in clinical management within the home in consultation with the Director of Nursing, including:Providing direct care to residents.Communicating effectively with residents, families, and representatives.Supervising and supporting nursing and care staff.Monitoring clinical performance and service standards.Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and training programmes.Coordinate the Quality and Safety System, overseeing clinical risk management and promoting resident engagement in care planning.Support ongoing staff development through coaching, mentorship, and regular performance appraisals.Work with HR to manage grievance and disciplinary processes fairly and efficiently.Coordinate rosters and manage staffing levels in collaboration with the senior management team.Lead by example, promoting a professional, punctual, and committed team culture.Contribute to the development of policies, standards, and best practices for the Nursing Home sector.RequirementsMust be a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration on the NMBI Register.Have a minimum of 7 years post-registration experience, including at least 3 years' experience in nursing older persons within the last 6 years.Hold a third-level qualification in Management or a related discipline.Possess an in-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and inspection processes relevant to residential care centres under HIQA.Demonstrate excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to influence, motivate, and support staff.Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workloads and adapt to changing demands.Show a commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and professional development within the care setting.Promote a culture of quality assurance, actively contributing to the development of benchmarks and KPIs in collaboration with the Director of Nursing.Be available to work flexible hours as required to meet the needs of the serviceBenefitsBike to Work SchemeEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)FlexitimeFood AllowanceOnsite Parking
